    Last year during the High Holy Days, United Hebrew began using Mishkan HaNefesh, the Reform Movement’s new Machzor.  We invite you to dedicate one or more new sets of prayer books. You can honor or memorialize a loved one by dedicating a two-volume set with a tribute donation of only $54!  A bookplate will be placed in the dedicated books and a tribute acknowledgement will be sent.

     We are very pleased that you have chosen to affiliate with United Hebrew Congregation, the oldest Jewish congregation west of the Mississippi River.  Our purpose is to enrich your spiritual, educational and social needs through our worship services, varied learning opportunities and creative programming for individuals and families. The information we have asked you to furnish will be kept confidential and is intended solely for our Temple records and to provide information which will assist us in planning future programs to help us serve you more effectively.   Thank you and we welcome you to United Hebrew Congregation.   The Membership Committee

  • NFTY Fall Bus Travel


    The bus will leave Shaare Emeth at 10:58am. Please arrive between 10:40am & 10:50am to load the bus. We stop once in Effingham for lunch and arrive in Indianapolis around 5pm.
     
    We will return to St. Louis on Sunday around 4pm.
     
  • Washington DC Trip


    UH is heading to Washington DC for the L'Taken Seminar January 5 - 8 2018. This four day convention will engage in Jewish learning, the legislative process and policy issues. The culmination is a visit to Capitol Hill to lobby in Senator Blunt & McCaskill and Representative Wagner offices.

    If you would like to split the payment, no problem, the $100 deposit is due ASAP to secure your spot. An additional $250 is due on October 5 and December 5. 

    Limited scholarship funding is available, please fill out a request at http://bit.ly/uhschol

    The Cancellation policy is $50 fee by October 5, $100 & airline fee as credit by December 20 and just an airline credit up until departure.

    Parents and children have their very own Shabbat Services in the Chapel. This musical service is a bridge for those families between Tot Shabbat and regular Sanctuary services. Singing out loud and running in the aisles is encouraged.

    Elementary school aged kids will have a special dinner and program from 6:00pm – 7:00pm.

    Parents are invited to snack and drink at the Shabbat nosh (Chili Cookoff!) til 6:30 and then join in on a discussion of “Creating independent Jewish teenagers & young adults” with H. Lee Rosenberg until 7:00pm.

    The flight cost is $325.
    The early bird (pay by November 10) cost is $300.
